MATTHEW CHARLTON
CEO and co-founder


Matthew’s advertising career began at BBH where he worked across many key clients including Unilever, Polaroid and Gordon’s. Within three years he was running the global Johnnie Walker Whisky account where his initial friendship with Neil and Clive, his future BETC creative partners, began.In 2007 Matthew became the MD of TBWA London, overseeing 170 people, and more specifically the global Sony PlayStation business before becoming Worldwide President of Modernista!. Two years later, Matthew returned to the UK to found BETC London with his friend Neil.


NEIL DAWSON
ECD and co-founder


Neil is one of the world’s most respected and awarded creative directors. He is the only creative in the world to have won back-to-back Cannes Lions Grand Prix and his awards span channel across digital, TV, outdoor, press, direct and PR. He has previously worked at DDB, BBH, TBWA/London, Ogilvy, BMP, and Hunt Lascaris in South Africa.Neil has collected his multitude of global awards for iconic work including Johnnie Walker ‘Keep Walking’, VW ‘Surprisingly Ordinary Prices’, American Airlines and Philips Electronics.


ANDREW STIRK

Andrew is a global planning expert having previously worked on iconic brands such as Nike, EA, Google and Nokia at W+K in London and Portland. Most recently, he ran his own consultancy, Rebel Alliance, helping clients like Nike, Heineken and UKTV better connect with fan communities on and offline. In his career he has also worked at TBWA, Holler and St Lukes. Well recognised, he has won IPA Gold and Special Media awards; APG Silver and Best International Strategy awards and a Jay Chiat Planning award for Best International Thinking.
